Since I am focusing on sending more filler this year, I thought I should share with you just HOW I find it! Finding good quality clearance is the key to being able to send in more filler within your budget! Come along with me to Walmart to see what I found!
Filler can be dropped off at your shoebox dropoff location during collection week in a box clearly marked "filler". (Not a shoebox.) You can also take filler directly toa processing center during the processing season if you live near one.
What is "FILLER"?
When an inappropriate item is removed from a shoebox or a shoebox is less than half full at the processing center, a processor will select a filler item from their bin to replace the item and fill the box. The majority of filler comes from Corporate donations to Operation Christmas Child. You can also contribute to this ministry by sending in filler individually! Filler can be dropped off at any shoebox collection site during collection week in a box clearly marked "FILLER". (NOT a shoebox.) You can also take filler directly to a processing center during processing season if you live near one. It should also be in a box clearly marked filler. A volunteer will instruct you where the dropoff is located at the back of the building.
Filler is another great way to contribute to this ministry and is needed! Individual filler is my favorite to choose to help make a box complete when I am processing!

How do I register to volunteer?
Visit occvolunteersignup.com to create or login to your account and sign up for a time to serve. If all time slots are full, join the waiting list and continue checking back for openings. If you have an account and are on the waiting list, you should receive a notification when a time slot is made available.
