To finish the davits properly, we added gussets for rough weather and weight bearing capability, the redirection pulleys were mounted using heavy chain link and the dinghy got custom lifting points welded into the floor. Our Dyneema winch line was sized, UV protected and spliced to last in the salt and UV exposed conditions. For the first time the dinghy was able to be lifted into its 'at sea' nesting position, high above the sea surface. The reversing camera is a challenge we need to solve and we show our options for this and the genset gets a bit of love.
We have a busy few months ahead and we have really enjoyed finishing these davits ready for our next steam.
