After accidentally being given a koi swordtail in a bag of regular swords, I discovered how beautiful and exciting this fish can be in a planted aquarium.
This discovery only took place when I went back to my local aquatics centre - I hadn't realised this was a separate variety. Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention. Anyway, now I've found out more about them, I've made a video about how wonderful koi swordtails are.
This video includes information about koi swordtails, and on keeping swordtails in general - their temperament, diet, breeding and even how they can change sex. In fact, one of the individuals I bought is changing from a female to a male fish.
