SIMPLE INSTALLATION First put the wheel inside of the tire, and then spoon each beads on- but it’s even easier as there is nothing in the drop center of the rim other than the 6mm bolts, they are at the very center of the rim - so the tire pretty much spoons on like nothing is there. - Tightening the bead locks only takes a few more minutes, and even faster with an cordless ratchet. ($50-$100 bucks + on Amazon) Some of the cheaper ones are actually preferred as they won’t over torque the nuts. Adding 7 holes to the rim: Takes 10-15 minutes to mark and drill, and only on the initial set up. Some are concerned about the holes weakening the rim. But if this was the case we should have seen at least some problems occurring at the 2 existing holes that are already in every rim. Over the past few years we have been asking riders all around the globe, and have yet to hear of an issue. This makes sense as they are not stress points. Cracks typically occur at the spokes themselves after a massive direct hit. Beyond that, the BEAD LOCKS design also acts as a FULL CIRCUMFERENCE FORGED ALLOY DOUBLER that’s insulated with a thick polymer. If the only intent was to strengthen the rim, this would be one of the best ways to do it. – It’s FORGED ALLOY sections completely fill the drop center of the rim bridging over the spokes. It also locks into the tires bead and lower sidewall making it act like one unit providing even more protection. This has already been proven with the TUBLISS, which even reduces damage to the lips of the rim. WEIGHT: The 18” rear is 2.5lbs. & the 21” front is 1.9lbs. This is a few ounces heavier than the TUBLISS and still lighter than any HD inner tube, or mousse. PERFECTLY BALANCED: Each bead lock section is within a few grams of each other so it near perfectly balanced. Top rides notice and have commented on how balanced the system feels. SPOKE NIPPLES WON’T LOSEN: All of the spokes heads are held under pressure and locked into the polymer seal, preventing them from loosening.
