The Netflix series "First Love: Hatsukoi" is a new story inspired by two of Utada Hikaru's songs, a masterpiece "First Love" and "Hatsukoi" released 19 years later.
It is a story of a man and a woman who trace their unforgettable memories of their "first love" over a period of more than 20 years, intersecting three different eras: the late 1990s, the 2000s, and the present. Hikari Mitsushima plays Yae Noguchi, who aspires to become a flight attendant but is thrown off course by fate after an accident. Takeru Satoh plays Harumichi Namiki, who became a pilot in the Air Self-Defense Force but is now on a different path.
