Pakistan vlog: My journey begins in the vibrant city of Karachi! After multiple visa rejections, I finally arrived at Karachi airport, excited yet slightly nervous to explore this incredible country. What was Pakistan hiding? Was it the kindest people, the best food, or something even more special? I couldn’t wait to find out.
The adventure started with a kind taxi driver who eased my worries about safety in Karachi, assuring me the city is welcoming and secure. As we chatted about life in Pakistan, I knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience. I checked into a cozy hotel for just £30 a night, amazed at the value, and shared a tour of my room before heading out to explore the bustling streets of Karachi.
The culture shock hit immediately as I navigated through the busy streets. Everywhere I went, locals greeted me with warm smiles and guided me when I asked where to buy a traditional outfit. Their kindness left a lasting impression. I even stumbled upon a man with a microphone who interviewed me on the spot—we laughed, joked, and connected over the English language.
At Zainab Market, I began my hunt for the perfect shalwar kameez. The lively market experience was unforgettable as shopkeepers tried to sell me everything from wedding attire to overpriced garments. Finally, I struck a deal, buying a beautiful shalwar kameez for just $12—what a bargain!
Next, I searched for authentic biryani, a must-try in Karachi. I found a local spot, and while the food was absolutely delicious, it was also incredibly spicy! After enjoying my meal, I decided to give back by sharing the leftovers with a homeless family I met along the way—a small act of kindness inspired by the generous spirit of Pakistanis.
Later, I visited a mosque inside a shopping center for evening prayers. I invited a local to join me, and we prayed together, a beautiful reminder of how deeply Islam is rooted in daily life here. To close the video, I reflected on how beautiful Islam is in Pakistan and how it shapes the people and culture of this incredible country.
