We are posting short videos of India on our Facebook page for you to enjoy so head to our Facebook page and give us a follow 👉 Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/thebuddymoon Happy Holi. Today we celebrate Holi in the right way, we played Holi putting colours on our faces and making friends. If you see our YouTube Channel, it shows that we are in Delhi which is clearly not the case if you see this video. We are about 2-3 weeks ahead with our videos in order to give us some time to plan our travels, as well as edit all the videos. Because it's Holi now, we felt that this video would not be relevant in 2-3 weeks' time and therefore we posting it now to have the video be a part of the Holi celebrations. We will be posting our next video on Sunday, where we continue to show you India and our experiences in this beautiful country while we make our way down south to Kerala. Holi is mainly celebrated in the north of India, where Hindi people are, as it's part of the Hindu culture. We are currently located in the south of India in a place called Goa. Goa is a popular tourist location. The South of India do not celebrate Holi as much as the north as there is a lot of Christians in the south due to the influence of the Portuguese many years ago we came to get spices from India from this area. However, we are people that enjoy celebrations so we are going to find a way to celebrate Holi and see what it's like in the south of India. We headed onto the beach as the locals said that is where the most activity will be. We found many people on the beach but not a lot celebrating Holi. The shops were also not selling colour so we were afraid that we were really in the wrong area to even try to get a small experience of what Holi is like. After a short walk on the beach, we found a family celebrating Holi and offered us some colour, but that is not without putting colour on us and saying 'Happy Holi'. Finally, our Holi experience began. Now that we have colour, we continued to walk the beach and found more people with colour. They approached us saying “Happy Holi” and grabbed our colour and put in on our face. Then more people came and added more colour to us to celebrate Holi. We were now absolutely covered in colour and having the best time ever. Our goal was just to experience just a little bit of what Holi is like and I think we have achieved it. Although Holi is not celebrated in the South of India, we are happy to have gotten just a little taste of what Holi is like in India. NEW BUDDYMOON MERCHANDISE IS AVAILABLE!
