Snuck in a cheeky flick during a weekend getaway with the school group—woke up early for a solo morning session on the Serpentine River. I was hoping for a Bream, but second cast in and boom—hooked into a baby Mulloway! Also picked up a chopper Tailor and a few Yellowtail Grunters before it was time to head back for some dad duties. Super stoked to finally land a juvenile Soapy—my first ever of the species! Came back later that night for round two, fishing the start of the outgoing tide with 3–4” plastics and a heavier leader in hopes of finding its parents… but didn’t get a single touch. Still, an awesome surprise in the morning made the trip well worth it! Gear used in this Fishing Session: Lure: Baitjunkie 2.5" Grub - Motor Oil , Baitjunkie 3" wave minnow - Mudblood.
