I had a recent first time visit to a local trout fishery in Scotland called Skelmorie Fishery in North Ayrshire owner by John Adams who keeps the place immaculate.

John is also the Scottish support of Maxcatch fishing equipment where you can find some excellent rods and reels along with fly lines to suit all eventualities.

I had a fantastic day with constant sport although hooking the trout on the drys proved to be difficult but very rewarding once I managed to connect as the trout are in fantastic condition and some of the best fighting fish I’ve had from a small Stillwater.
