As the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa, we are proud to partake in the vibrant celebrations of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, known as "Avurudu" in Sri Lanka. Our faculty organized a delightful Avurudu event, weaving together the rich cultural tapestry of this auspicious occasion with the innovative spirit of technology. From traditional customs like cleaning homes and preparing sweets to engaging in spirited games and cultural performances, our Avurudu celebrations were a lively display of unity and festivity.
