In this video, I demonstrate how to change the suspension rods on an LG washing machine. I show step-by-step how to open the top of the machine, remove the old rods, install the new ones, and apply the included dampening grease. I also explain how these suspension rods use a cylinder-and-piston system to control oscillations during the spin cycle. If your washer stops, fills, and repositions clothes multiple times before stopping or throwing an unbalanced load code, faulty suspension rods may be the issue.
