BAKERSFIELD, Calif., June 12 (KNN) — The Bakersfield Fire Department was dispatched around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday to a reported apartment fire with people inside on the 3700 block of Wible Road in the city of Bakersfield.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, a wooden structure was heavily involved with flames with extension into a nearby building.
Firefighters quickly attacked the flames. The residents had evacuated the building safely with no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
