This is a close up view from my studio as I make a large disk bead start to finish. I love to use this bead as a demonstration and teaching tool. It is a fun bead to make and really helps students understand how to build up a large disk shape at the torch. Alternating colors not only adds to the challenge but helps one understand each layer independently. I consider this a great skill building bead that can be practiced in any number of color combinations.
