Bushwalking is full of surprises. One minute you’re ambling along a wide, flat, clear fire trail commenting on the beautiful weather and the next, you’re picking your way through a dense, spiky thicket on a 45 degree hillside in search of a way back to any path at all. How does this happen?
I think it’s just a spirit of adventure; the wish to answer the question, “what if we go this way?”
Happily, we found our path with only minimal loss of blood.
We also found a great little watering hole known as the Hardys Bay Club, where we were able to relax in comfort for a short while, discussing the ups and downs of our hike. It was generally agreed that the Bouddi National Park never fails to provide an exciting day out.
