This video is on “Flash Separation Part 1- Understanding the Concept“. The target audience for this course is chemical and process engineers and chemical engineering students. One of the simplest separation process commonly used to separate a binary or multicomponent mixture is flash distillation. Flash is an equilibrium separation process. It may be called “single stage distillation” processes. The tank in which the flash separation is accomplished is called the flash drum. Flash separation is widely used in oil and gas industries, NGL processing, refineries and other process plants. This subject is presented in two part series. Part 1 focuses on the concept of flash separation, the objectives of flash calculations and the important process variables of flash. Watch the video to know more.
