American professional eater Randy Santel versus American Icon Brewery's 8lb "Icon" Food Challenge w/ a 4lb mountain of nachos plus 4lbs of burgers & fries, hosted by American Icon Brewery in Vero Beach, FL on the Treasure Coast of Florida!! @KatinaEatsKilos and I started a 2-month long tour that mainly featured restaurant food challenges around Scandinavia and Finland. Before flying to Europe, we traveled down to the Treasure Coast of Florida to each attempt four (4) delicious restaurant food challenges that were set up by our local friend Thomas Miller, aka The Treasure Coast Foodie. For final competitive eating challenge #4 of four, we headed to American Icon Brewery in Vero Beach, which was voted best brewery on the Treasure Coast!! Katina and I each attempted and helped kick off their new 8lb American "Icon" Cheeseburger Challenge which also featured their ~4lb mountain of loaded nachos that can be found on the appetizer menu, meant for families and groups of people to share. I had just 1 hour (60 minutes) to eat their Street Corn Nachos plus three of the four burgers listed on their menu, served with 1.5 lbs of seasoned fries (1/2 pound of fries with each burger). Street Corn Nachos: corn tortilla chips smothered with homemade nacho cheese, shredded lettuce, fresh pico de gallo, roasted corn, avocado crema, and topped off with spicy cotija cheese. As for the signature cheeseburgers, the challenge included their spicy Cowboy Burger, the "Icon" Burger, and their "Fun-Guy" Burger. Each hamburger had a 1/2 pound beef patty, so the challenge weighed about 8 lbs total, or 3.64 kg (4 lbs of nachos and 4 lbs of burgers & fries). I was trying to become the first champion to finish everything within one hour to win my $69 meal free plus some sweet brewery merch and a spot on the "Icon" Challenge Wall of Fame!! BIG thanks to everyone with American Icon Brewery for the wonderful food, drinks, desserts, and hospitality!! Special thanks also to all our amazing friends who came up that Wednesday evening to watch and meet us!! We appreciate everyone in the Vero Beach / Treasure Coast, FL area and all around Florida who watches videos and supports our hard efforts!!
