Hello to all, thanks for watching the video! I've had several requests for the color changes made on A Quaker Welcome. They weren't so much color changes as color placement changes. See below for the changes I made. Also, to answer the fabric questions: I used Primitive Hare 40 ct Olde Massachusetts Linen.
Here are the changes I made to "A Quaker Welcome" by Lila's Studio. I recommend taking a screenshot of my framed piece for guidance.
* No changes were made to the top band or the alphabets.
* Any motifs or parts of motifs not mentioned below were stitched as charted.
BOTTOM BAND:
* I replaced WDW Grapefruit with DMC 356 throughout the bottom band.
**Left Motif**
* On the left side, I used DMC 3828 for the top part of the flower pot, leaving the base GA Onyx.
* I used WDW Garrison Green for the flower stems instead of GA Onyx.
* For the two buds above the left bird, I left the stems in GA Onyx but stitched the leaves and bud bases in WDW Garrison Green.
**Middle Motif**
* I alternated WDW Garrison Green and DMC 3012 for the leaves instead of GA Onyx. Please refer to the screenshot of my finished piece to see the color placement for each leaf.
* I stitched our initials and wedding year in WDW Hazelnut instead of GA Onyx.
* I used DMC 356 for the heart motif instead of GA Onyx.
**Right Flower Motif**
* I left the stems in GA Onyx and stitched the leaves and bud bases with WDW Garrison Green.
Happy Stitching Everyone! This is a video showing my stitching progress and antique haul.
