Sonic.EXE is a mod owned and directed by MarStarBro, Comgaming_Nz, and Saster. The main opponent of the mod is the titular character from the Sonic.EXE creepypasta , but it also features many other horror-oriented characters from other official and fan-made Sonic media, including Sonic (PC PORT), Sonic CD, Sunky.MPEG, Sonic R, and Sonic the Comic. FNF Hotline 024 is a mod created by Saruky and the Potions N' Spices Team. It stars Nikku: an alien who crash-landed on Earth and is on the run from a secret agency that experimented on her. The mod was first shown off as a demo released for the F3 FunkJam on September 6th, 2021. Soon after on April 24, 2022, the demo received The Medley Update; a huge update containing 24 different tracks and loads of lore contained within an ARG. It currently totals to about 2 hours of content, and will still be receiving new content such as new tracks and a Story Mode. Nikku Morioka is a lost space girl hiding from a secret agency that used her for experiments for years after crash-landing on Earth until running away and seeking a home inside of an abandoned mall. She is the main opponent of the mod, where Boyfriend happens upon her hiding spot and they rap battle to solve their dispute. Friday Night Funkin' (often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source[2] donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam.[3] The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "Ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games.[4] The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s. The game includes a roster generally comprising characters from external media on the Newgrounds site. The game revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to date his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around mimicking the opponent's notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.[5][6] The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam in October 2020.[7] A full version backed on Kickstarter titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game is under development.[8]
