Video Not Working? Fix It Now

After a typical evening nest exchange, a sub-adult bald eagle followed Jackie to the basement of the nest tree. She had to eject it twice before it got the message. Correction: we referred to the intruder as a “juvenile” in the video. The proper identification for the visitor is “sub-adult”. There is an excellent explanation of the differences between juvenile and sub-adult bald eagles here: https://avianreport.com/age-and-identify-a-juvenile-and-sub-adult-bald-eagle/. Basically, a juvenile is in its first plumage, which replaces the coat of down while the eaglet is still in the nest. A sub-adult (sometimes referred to as immature) is older than one year and has replaced the juvenile plumage for what is called an immature plumage.
