The Battle of San Pasqual is often called the bloodiest battle of the Mexican American War to take place in California, but another battle a few weeks later, that has largely been forgotten today, saw a much greater killed. This forgotten event, where over 100 Temecula Indians were killed, became known as the Temecula Massacre. In this video we travel to three locations, Mule Hill, where the aftermath of the Battle of San Pasqual took place, Vail Lake, which now sits on top of the site where the Temecula Massacre occurred, and a parking lot that holds the last reminder of this nearly forgotten event. For more information on the Temecula Massacre, check out the great book by Gary DuBois and Lisa Woodward, which is the best researched information on the event that I have seen: https://amzn.to/3DAjbwR ○ Gear we use: https://www.amazon.com/shop/sidetrackadventures ►Join us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SidetrackAdventures ►Please subscribe for weekly updates showcasing some of our adventures: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdueDRFYPVgzPAAOM_bxVWA?sub_confirmation=1 ►Also please follow Sidetrack Adventures on Instagram: https://instagram.com/sidetrackadventures ►Music in this video is from Epidemic Sounds; use our link for a free trial: https://share.epidemicsound.com/v927fj As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
