My last visit to Sri Lanka was over a decade ago, but I still remember the bold flavours of the cuisine there, quite similar in some ways to the culinary traditions of South India, yet distinctly different in its nuances. Salone Ceylon opened earlier last year to introduce Bengaluru to the flavours of the emerald isle. Manned by a team of Sri Lankan chefs, the kitchen here serves up delicious preparations that I found super enjoyable. From street flavours presented with flair to essential Colombo classics, robustly flavoured curries and desserts that are a must at weddings, there’s much to be savoured here. Also loved the setting of the place that makes one cosy and comfortable especially after a drive to the restaurant located close to Bengaluru airport.
