Out on a local fox control contract tonight.
Last years fox pups are now out roaming the paddocks providing the perfect opportunity to quickly reduce numbers before they become better educated and more cautious.
I shot 12 foxes last visit only 3 weeks prior so I was unsure just how many would be out and about tonight.
4 hours driving around and scanning with the roof mounted thermal setup proved to be very effective, resulting in another 10 foxes removed in fairly quick succession.
As you would have seen, these young foxes are not what you would call vehicle shy at all. Most of the time I was able to drive to within 200m and shoot them from my ute.
The new Falcon FQ50L boasts dual band WIFI which worked flawlessly over the course of the night. No lag whatsoever and no dropouts. If I had to be honest I would say the image isn't as clear and crisp as the previous model however I'm hoping they will improve it with a firmware update shortly.
