Instructions:

[make 2]
Row 1: Chain 31
Row 2: HDC in second chain from hook. Slip stitch in next space. Repeat alternating HDC,
slip Stich, HDC, slip stitch across. At the end of the row chain two, turn.
Row 3: *HDC in first space, slip stitch in next space. Repeat across starting at the *.
Chain 2, turn.
Row 4-30: Repeat row 3 Once you have finished row 30 Do Not Tie off. Repeat process again making a second. You will be sewing or crocheting the two pieces together.
***You can choose to make both pieces the same color or make each piece a different color so that when you sew them together each side is different which is fun.***

Border:

Once you have finished crocheting your second piece, align the edges so that each space matches up.
We will start with a single crochet in the first space and in all 29 space across. A total of 30 single crochets.
Single Crochet a total of 3 times in the last space otherwise known as the corner space. Rotate work so that the side is face up. There are only 30 rows so make sure that you only crochet 30 single crochets across this side. Counting is very important.
3 Single Crochets in the last space or corner space.
Rotate work so that the next side is now face up. Single crochet next 29 spaces. Three single crochets in corner.
Last edge will also be a side edge so make sure you count 29 single crochets across (remember that third single crochet in the corner counts as the 1st single crochet for the row). This should lead you right up to the space we started with.

Finish off with a slip stitch in the first space.
Tie off and weave in the tail end.
The pattern starts with a multiple of 2 plus 1. You can Enlarge this pattern however much you would like.
