Freight, Signal Failures and Gridlocked Trains at: Stafford, WCML, 31/01/25, Part 2/2

Hello and welcome to the second and final part of my day at Stafford on the West Coast Mainline where we continue to see services from Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway, Cross Country and freight from Freightliner, GBRF, DB Cargo UK and DRS. The first half of the afternoon went without any issue, then eventually a bag log of trains started happening at Stafford, and this was down to the fact that a signal failure had occurred at Weaver Junction which meant that the line was blocked heading into Liverpool and also heading up to Warrington. This throw the timetable completely out but at the same time brought Stafford into its best with the use of the bidirectional platforms. Even the freight was getting in on the action. My next station will be Eastleigh on the South Western Mainline.
