This video shows the lively streets of Ueno and Asakusa on a Friday night. The first half is Ueno, and the second half is Asakusa.
In Ueno’s Ameya-Yokocho (Ameyoko), you can still feel the atmosphere of the post-war black market, with narrow alleys and open-air shops.
Experience the unique charm of the downtown area, which is very different from places like Shibuya and Shinjuku. Also, notice the different vibes between Ueno and Asakusa, even though both are in Tokyo's downtown area.
