My dog, Riggins is an all-American family dog. He excels at comforting angry toddlers, being a playground for infants, and taking a superb couch nap.
But, Riggins has had a hidden talent all along. He was born to be a bird dog.
The problem is... no one in my family hunts. I'm not a duck hunter. I've only fished.
So, late in his life, I decided to throw down the fishing rods and give everything I could to learn how to hunt for public land ducks.
Maybe, just maybe, Riggins and I could learn something together.
