Now then!! What’s happening? What’s good? I’m Thomas Griffin. This is My Own Garms and this week, I’m chatting to JoJo Elgarice. Steel City’s foremost flogger of rare and vintage garms.
JoJo’s shop Rag Parade sells a really broad range of gear with a real singularity of vision. To buy and sell really nice things. I met JoJo for about 15 seconds when I was leathered at vintage fair in Stoke Newington a few weeks ago but I’ve been drooling over the stuff he sells on his Instagram for a good few years. Today we’ll discover where his deep love for garms comes from and what shapes his tastes today…
Last week I mentioned our new Substack on the outro. Thanks to everyone that’s been on and made pals with us over there. We’ve got articles and links to stuff we talk about in the episodes and we’re working on new stuff at the moment so go and have a butcher’s hook.
Big thanks as ever to the series sponsors Trailberg for making what we do on My Own Garms a bit less financially crushing. Appreciate you lot a lot! Go and drop em a follow @trailbergofficial - legends!!
Okay. Let’s get into this one then. This is My Own Garms with Sheffield’s own, JoJo Elgarice…
Thanks Jojo for the time and thanks to the lovely people at Eve’s Kitchen for the brews and the recording space.
I’ve not really mentioned it on here but what do you reckon to the recording setups for this series? Instead of booking a hotel out and getting the guests to come to us, we’ve been getting about the country and setting up where our guests are at. Do you reckon it’s better? Prefer it the old way? Let us know in the comments or in the reviews. Would love to hear what you think.
Okay, you know the drill, we’ll drop another mini episode with JoJo in a couple of days so make sure you’re subscribed to the feed for that one cos it’s a banger. See ya back here for that. X
