Documenting days 1-17 of Japanese Tit activity in nest box #3
I apologize for the delayed upload of this footage from six months ago. This will be our final story of the year.
A Japanese Tit couple, who had been persistently attempting to renovate nest box #2 (occupied by Varied Tits), finally moved to nest box #3. Initially, they faced harassment from neighboring Japanese Tits in box #1 and Daurian Redstarts in box #4, but they persevered with their nest building. Eventually, the interference stopped, suggesting they successfully established their territory.
They continued building their nest and successfully laid * eggs! It's been a while since we've had such an active nest box, and I'm very excited to see what happens!
