Welcome back!
I thought that since it's a new year, and many people are working on de-cluttering and organizing their sewing rooms this month, it would be a good time to share my thought processes on organizing scraps. This is a little look around parts of my sewing room, and the different boxes and categories into which I sort my scraps.
I like to deal with my scraps as soon as they are generated in my sewing room, by cutting them into sizes which I use most often. I share a bit about what those sizes are, what blocks I tend to use those pieces for, and a few projects or blocks which I have made with those sizes.
I hope that if you are having trouble getting your scraps organized, you will pick up one or two ideas here which may help get them in order. Being organized with your scraps is a huge first step toward using them.
