Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Welcome back! I've been busy in my sewing room, and have accomplished a lot of piecing. I have finished all of the individual blocks for my Hunter's Star quilt, made with red and black shirts and white quilting cotton. I still have to piece them together for a finished top, but I'm loving how it looks so far! I have also finished the individual Trip Around the World blocks which I started working on back in episode 4. When I first started them.... let's just say I wasn't optimistic about how this one was going to turn out! It's still not my favorite, but the blocks look better in some layouts than in others. In this video, I go through my process of playing with the layout of these blocks to achieve different patterns. I like some layouts more than others, and haven't quite decided which one I will go ahead with-- let me know which you think works best! I have also finished two projects! I finished my Carolina Chain, which is a Bonnie Hunter pattern I found in an old magazine. This was a very scrappy, very colorful project; even the binding is scrappy, and the back is pieced! I did a crosshatch quilting pattern across most of it, and I put some more decorative quilting in the border since it was a wide piece and a solid color-- those factors will really let a hand quilting pattern shine. My Hunter's Star wall hanging is also finished. I'm eager to get it hung up this winter! I also managed to use binding scraps for this one, which always makes me happy. Happy quilting!
