I a strat converted Strat to a Strandberg. To convert a Strat to a Strandberg you'll need a strat body blank with no routing (ideally) or a strat style guitar that doesn't have a pick guard, i.e. body monted pickups and a rear cavity. I used an unfinished Chapman ML1 body blank to make a Strandberg
Remove all paint (this is why it's easier to start from a body blank). I've put a list of useful tools I used to make this Strandberg copy below. I've also included links to Crimson Guitars tools which were seriously helpful throgh this build and every build I've done.
I made a DIY Standberg from a Strat. To be more precise I made a DIY Strandberg from a Chapman ML1 body blank. If you'd like to know how make a Strandberg, this is the video for you.
Once the DIY Strandberg was finished, I showed Rob Chapman. This Chapman Guitar is roughly shaped like a Strandberg and Chappers did a blindfold challenge and could tell it was a 'Strandberg' style guitar due to the 3 sided neck. Once Chappers took his blindfold off I revealed this Strandberg was actually a Chapman ML1.
