Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video, we show you the proper way to replace the bright mouldings / anodized aluminum trim pieces on the front nose of your 67-68 Mercury Cougar. While we're at it, we show how to replace the rubber corner filler pieces for the front bumper, as well as the Mercury emblem on the left fender extension. To do this job correctly, we recommend removing the fender extensions, which we show in the video. Be careful not to over-tighten them when you reinstall; the metal is soft and can "pucker" in the mounting stud locations. Our restored trim is straightened, polished, and re-anodized for a long-lasting shine. Most trim shops out there will only polish the aluminum, which will look great initially, but tarnish and oxidize over time.
