We transform a 1979 Ford Bronco, affectionately named "Das Bronco," from a forgotten junkyard relic into a mean, trail-ready beast. In our project series, Kevin Tetz and Ryan Shand tackle essential body repairs, chassis maintenance, and enhance the drive train with hot rodding tricks. We also give Das Bronco an eye-catching, historically inspired dazzle camouflage paint job, honoring its military roots.
Our mission was to create a tough, trail-ready truck while keeping costs low, showcasing how even a rig on the brink of a junkyard can be transformed. From upgrading the drive train with a high torque starter and high output alternator to ensuring it stays cool with a dual fan radiator, we've prepared "Das Bronco" for both street and trail action.
