Fully Burned Trash Truck Gets owed while ON FIRE still! Talk about a HOT call! Can you imagine what the scene smelled like? Luckily Alex and Ricardo were up to the task and made as quick work as allowed on this messy job.
I'm not sure on the exact cause of the fire, but this thing burned 100% down to the ground. From the cab, to the rear axles, all of it was engulfed. By the time Alex was on scene, the fire department put it out for the most part. The compactor portion obviously is the hard part to keep under control due to all the trash inside. That is why they wanted us to get it off the freeway and control it in a safer environment.
Ricardo also has experience in this field so he was able to lend his training to help. And if you haven't seen it yet, we recently got ourselves a new low bed trailer. The low clearance makes it perfect for these oversized jobs that would be too high for a Landoll and require extreme special routes.
