Gábor Döme speaks about the third chapter of their American tour, the Goliath Grouper the following way:
The tackle we used for fishing for the Goliath Grouper was the strongest I have ever held in my hands so far! A strong, 1,8 m long sea fishing rod, which couldn’t be bent by hand, equipped with roller guides, and there was a huge multiplicator reel on it with 3,5 mm diameter (!!!) monofil line, which seemed a cable to me. The hook was made of the thickest steel, at least 15/0-s circle hook, on which we put a 2–3-kilogram heavy stingray. I lowered down this bait among the piles. I was constantly afraid of what will happen if the first bite arrives?! And I got to know soon!!!
