Dear Wine People, Let's talk about Gamay and everything you need about this grape for your WSET Level 2 in Wines Exam. Gamay is the grape variety most closely associated with Beaujolais, the wine region in Burgundy's southern part. There, Gamay is made into a red wine that ranges from bright and fruit-forward (a light-bodied red wine that's light on tannins and tends to have a bright, juicy freshness reminiscent of banana, candy, kirsch...) to complex wines that are reminiscent of the more famous red wines of northern Burgundy. At the end, as usual, there are 5 WSET exam-type questions. Let me know how well you did in the comments below! Stay Thirsty and Wise!
