Garlic is a popular remedy for poor circulation. But does it work? Vascular surgeon Dr. Alexandre Amato explains the science behind garlic and poor circulation.

Vascular surgeon Dr. Alexandre Amato explains how garlic helps improve blood flow and why it's a good idea to add it to your diet if you're looking to improve your circulation.
Dr. Alexandra Amato discussed the benefits of garlic for vascular health. He explained that vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, stroke, heart attack, and gangrene are caused by chronic inflammation of the vessel wall. He also mentioned that garlic can have an effect on high blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammation, and may even reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack. The speaker also discussed the health benefits of garlic, including its antioxidant, antihypertensive, and antidiabetic effects. He recommended that people include garlic in their diet, but noted that it is not possible to balance the rest of the diet by simply increasing the amount of garlic.
