शालेय शिक्षण घेत असताना अथेलेटिक्स या खेळाच्या प्रकारामध्ये अतिशय उत्तम कामगिरी करत असताना प्रतिक्षा च्या पायाला चांगली दुखापत झाली आणि तिला खेळापासून दूर होऊन ६ महिने आराम करावा लागला, असं म्हणतात की मैदानी खेळ खेळणाऱ्या खेळाडू ला दुखापत झाली की त्याचं करिअर संपलं असं म्हणतात पण प्रतिक्षा थोरात हिच्या सोबत घडलेला प्रसंग तिच्या करिअर चा टर्निंग पॉईंट ठरला, कारण या काळात तिला मोबाईल वर पाहून मेकअप आणि मॉडेलिंग च वेड लागलं, जेव्हा ती दुखापतीतून ठीक झाली तेव्हा तिने आईला विनंती केली आणि आई सोबत तिला मदत करायला जाऊ लागली यातून तिला अजून जास्त आवड निर्माण झाली व तिने क्लासेस केले, आज फक्त ३ वर्षात तिने स्वतच्या क्लासेस मधून १००० पेक्षा जास्त मुलींना शिक्षण दिलं आहे, त्याचबरोबर वयाच्या २३व्या वर्षी अनेक जण ज्या गोष्टींची स्वप्न बघतात त्या पूर्ण गोष्टी कष्ट, मेहनत आणि जिद्दीच्या जोरावर इतक्या कमी वेळेत मिळवल्या आहेत..
