If you don't know the code for the specific television or device that you want to connect the remote with then you can easily still program it by using the automatic code search functionality of the remote. It will take quite a bit longer because it will have to scan through many unnecessary codes, but the job will definitely get done and it will allow you to program it properly without knowing the specific code that you have to use for the device.
