Gelli Plate Printing : Creating Sketchbook Abstract Textures

Today I'm using a Gelli plate to help me create pre-prepared textured backgrounds in my sketchbook so I can paint over them in mixed media afterwards. I share the whole process of applying the paint using rollers and brushes, then applying each page with gelli plate textures It was a really fun way to make the process more playful and exciting.

There's also examples of previous sketchbooks pieces with gelli print backgrounds and how I worked over them. Have you tried this before? Would you like to try it? Let me know in the comments!
