In this video, we’ll explore the world of generative AI from the perspective of an R programmer, with a focus on two innovative tools: ChatGPT (including gptstudio) and GitHub Copilot. We’ll discuss the mechanics of these tools, dive into their respective strengths and weaknesses, and explore the ethical considerations that arise from their use. We’ll then demo how to use generative AI tools as an R programmer, covering several different approaches and highlighting best practices.
We'll also talk about how to use the openai R package (including chatting, image creation (DALL-E), speech-to-text/transcription (Whisper), translation, and fine-tuning/creating custom models).
