Geometry Dash is a community that revolves around custom-made levels and how great they are. We have a lot of talented creators, yet more people need to realize that criticism is just as pivotal in shaping the masterpieces we know today. Unfortunately, the current notion around criticism in the community is destructive and harmful, using words like "soulless" to demean other peoples' creations. Sure, we are entitled to our own opinions, and we should be allowed to not like other levels. However, it's certainly possible to dislike a product while also being respectful towards it.
In this video I explore the topic of destructive criticism in Geometry Dash and why its problematic in a game driven by community creations and attempt to explain why people resort to using buzzwords like "soulless" despite their consequences.
