We are quickly approaching the 2025 CACSS Show & Sale! The show is open to the public from Friday, March 28 through Sunday, March 30 in Dorrance Hall at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. This year will feature a full-sized sale with over 20 vendors, many of which the Cookie's Cacti community knows very well. If you're interested in showing your plants for the first time but you're feeling a little nervous, don't be! In this video I go over some of the rules and guidelines to be aware of and I show my initial pick of plants that I plan to enter into the show. Every plant is "good enough" to be entered (within the rules and guidelines of the show, of course). Do your plants have to be staged? No! Do your plants have to be rare? Absolutely not. Should you bring your favorite plants? YES!! The whole point is to participate, have fun, and learn new things. All current member of the Central Arizona Cactus & Succulent Society (CACSS) and/or the Tucson Cactus & Succulent Society (TCSS) are eligible to enter plants into the show. Plant drop-off date for exhibitors is on Wednesday, March 26 between 8am and 6pm at Dorrance Hall at the DBG. There will be volunteers there to receive your plant, help with the paperwork, help with ID-ing plants, and answer any questions you might have. See you at the show! Entrance to the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG) will be free for current CACSS members for the Show & Sale. You must show your CACSS badge at ticket counter. I don't know if this applies to TCSS members - please contact the CACSS to inquire. The Show & Sale is held within the DBG so a general admission ticket to the garden is required to attend if you are not a current member of the CACSS. Purchase your general admission tickets online here: https://ticketing.dbg.org/events.
