Some hurdles were hit during this installation, but powering through and learning along the way was the only road taken.
Ultimately, the plan was originally going to consist of the Wood Burner sitting inside the fireplace with a cast iron coupler and rigid 1 meter long black stove pipe that would then connect to the flexi flu.
Evidently, this was unachievable in the timeframe that was had, so it will need to be revisited and replaced in the not too distant future. It was just connected up the way you saw, so at least it could go through it's first burn and the day could be ended on a self high-five.
