This video shows how to get started with FPGA programming using the inexpensive Tang Nano 9K board and the Gowin EDA tool set running on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux.
Later, I will post a video showing a more complicated project.
It's easy to find videos on YouTube that describe what FPGAs are and how they work, so I do not go into that.
Chapters
0:00 About the Tang Nano 9K.
1:08 Download and install the Gowin IDE on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux
2:36 Run IDE for the 1st time.
3:51 Install openfpgaloader by building it from source.
6:01 Create 1st FPGA design.
8:16 Create constraint file to assign pins.
10:14 Run place and route.
10:37 Load bitfile onto FPGA
11:41 It works!
