Okay, so the Ghost of Kyiv was confirmed to be a myth, but that still didn't stop Tom Mikojević from building GWH's 1/48 MiG-29 (9.13) in the striking digital livery of Yellow 57 and thus bringing Ukraine's Ghost to life in scale. Bort 57 is technically a MiG-29MU1, a 9.13 with additional modifications such as an air-to-ground capability. Some MiG-29s in Ukraine were seen with AGM-88 Harms even.
The kit used was a 1/48 Great Wall Hobby's (GWH) MiG-29 9-13 "Fulcrum C" (No. L4813).
DN Models masks (48/827-054) were used to achieve the digital effect, in addition to Eduard masks for canopy masking.
Master’s MiG-29 (Fulcrum) – Pitot Tube
(No. AM-48-060) was used too as well as Tamiya and Mr.Color products.
On our Facebook page, we feature a weekly aircraft of history using a professionally built 1/48 model, and also release previously unpublished aircraft archival photos!
