Going down Sapillo Creek to the Gila River, I show you some of the history in that area. There are ancient ruins, places where mountain men stayed while hunting bears and lions, and big ranches flourished at the turn of the century. I had some problems with a mule along the way and was able to catch some smallmouth bass. There was a variety of wildlife present such as Couse deer, mule deer, Mearns quail, Gambel's quail, turkeys, and Gila trout. This was an overnight pack trip to show you a little of what is in the area.
