US Team Trails in 1987. I lost to Smith in two fairly competitive matches - this one was 4-3. I had a lead early but as they say- Smith was pretty good! John went on to win his first world title that year and won 6 consecutive years (2 Olympic Golds and 4 World Golds). It was an honor battling the best wrestler in US History.
