Gobhi Chana Dal ki Sabzi is a delightful dish combining tender cauliflower florets (gobhi) and protein-rich split Bengal gram lentils (chana dal).The chana dal adds a nutty texture, complementing the softness of the cauliflower. Ingredients Quantity
Bengal gram soaked 2 cup
Cauliflower florets 1 no
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Tomato 2 no
Green chilli slit 4-5 no
Ginger juliennes 1 inch
Water as required
Ghee 1½ tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Green chilli chopped 4 no
Asafoetida 1 tsp
Onion chopped 1 no
Tomato chopped 1 no
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Water ¼ cup
Coriander chopped 1 tbsp
Ghee for garnish
Fresh coriander chopped for garnish

Method
1.Place a pressure cooker on medium flame, add the soaked and drained
Bengal gram, cauliflower florets, turmeric powder and salt.
2.Take a tomato and cut it into pieces, then add it to the pressure cooker.
3.Now add green chilli slit, ginger juliennes and water, Pressure cook for 4
whistles or until the gram is tender but not mushy. Set aside.
4.Place a kadai on medium flame and heat ghee. Add cumin seeds,
chopped ginger, chopped garlic, chopped green chilli and asafoetida let
them splutter.
5.Now add chopped onion and sauté until them sweating.
6.Add chopped tomato and salt cook until they become soft and the oil
starts to separate.
7.Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder sauté for 2
minutes.
8.Now add little water and mix well.
9.Add the cooked Bengal gram and cauliflower mixture in it. Mix gently to
combine.
10.Cook for another 4-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
11.Now add freshly chopped coriander and mix well.
12.Side out in serving bowl and garnish with desi ghee and chopped
coriander.
13.Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice, Enjoy your homemade Gobhi Chana
