In this video Steve Christie demonstrates the Godwin String Concert SC749 synthesiser from the mid 1970s. Manufactured by the company Sisme, Italy.
The 749 is a polyphonic string synth with full keyboard polyphony, three octave registers with simple tone, modulation, tremolo, attack, sustain and volume controls.
Steve plays a few tunes and references Giampiero Boneschi’s ‘Intimate’ from the 1974 CAM LIBRARY LP ‘A New Sensation In Sound (The New Sound Of A Voice)’ which may or may not have been recorded with a Godwin, but it sounds exactly the same.
It all sounds very like a Solina string ensemble.
